Confidentiality at Heathgate

Locked blue folder

We respect your right to privacy and aim to keep all your health information confidential and secure.

It is important that the NHS keeps accurate and up to date records about your health so that those supporting you can give you the best possible advice, treatment and care.

This information should only be available to those directly involved in your care and this may mean passing on personal information to a specilaist team that we may need to refer you to.  By registering with the Practice, we require your agreement to share such information with other health providers, when appropriate.  We will ask you for such consent when we need to pass information to another part of the NHS (or organisation contracted to provide services on behalf of the NHS).

All staff sign a confidentiality agreement as part of their contract of employment.
